The Most Funnest Place is Crowned and it’s Time to Name the Beast!

What a race!  Well at least for second and third place.  Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum ran away in our first annual Flippin Most Funnest Place in Utah poll with Hogle Zoo coming in a distant second.  The staff at Discovery Gateway spread the word early and by mid week they were closing in on 1,000 votes, and easily captured the title, but the race between Hogle Zoo and The Utah Shakespearean Festival was a fun one to watch as there were several lead changes a day over the last few days.  Then today, without any warning or big announcements, Lagoon came roaring back and ended up tying The Shakespearean Festival for third place.  What separated the three?  ONE VOTE!

It was a job well done by the Discovery Gateway team to get the word out and help them win the first annual Flippin Most Funnest Place in Utah Award.

While we figure out all the ways to pay homage to the top four winners of our last poll, we bring you a new poll and we are asking for you to help us nominate the contestants for several other polls that are coming up.

A few weeks ago we asked you all to nominate names for The Bear Lake Sea Monster and the nominations are in.  There are 10 choices on the poll below (in case you can’t count – I guess that was a dumb statement after all, but lets keep it anyways) and you get to pick one per vote so choose carefully  This poll will close Friday at 5PM and at that time we will finally have a name for the beast… one that will go on our Bear Lake Sea Monster T-shirt and into the history books… forever!

I also need to quickly say HAPPY STAR WARS DAY… to all of you Star Wars nerd and geeks like me (OK- I don’t dress up, but like you all I want my wife to dress up in that Princess Leia outfit from Jaba’s Palace) it is a great day to remember the greatest trilogy that ever was.
